Story

LimX Oli is a full-size bipedal humanoid family aimed at embodied-AI, locomotion, and manipulation development. LimX publishes three configurations, and their differences are substantial enough that HumanoidRoster keeps them separate rather than manufacturing an average Oli.

Lite and EDU are both listed at 165 cm and no more than 55 kg including battery, but Lite has 31 active DoF and about two hours of battery life while EDU has 33 DoF and about 1.5 hours. Super grows to 175 cm, no more than 60 kg, 43 active DoF, and a 5 kg posture-dependent single-arm load. All three list a 5 km/h maximum movement speed.

LimX's COSA 0.5 page provides the strongest capability signal: an approximately three-minute Oli video labeled fully autonomous, 1X speed, long take, and real robot footage. Those are useful company disclosures, not independent validation. The profile also preserves LimX's remote-operation support, so one autonomy-labeled demo is not generalized into an always-autonomous product claim.

Reality check

Oli has a detailed official three-configuration specification matrix, substantial real-robot media, and a manufacturer-labeled long-take COSA 0.5 autonomy demonstration. The evidence remains mainly first-party, with no public pricing, deliveries, customer operating data, independent benchmarks, or disclosed intervention statistics.

Confirmed
  • LimX describes Oli as a full-size general-purpose bipedal humanoid and publishes separate Lite, EDU, and Super configurations
  • Oli Lite is listed at 165 cm, no more than 55 kg including battery, 31 active DoF, about two hours of battery life, 3 kg maximum single-arm load, and 5 km/h maximum movement speed
  • Oli EDU is listed at 165 cm, no more than 55 kg including battery, 33 active DoF, about 1.5 hours of battery life, 3 kg maximum single-arm load, and 5 km/h maximum movement speed
  • Oli Super is listed at 175 cm, no more than 60 kg including battery, 43 active DoF, about 1.5 hours of battery life, 5 kg maximum single-arm load, and 5 km/h maximum movement speed
  • LimX's COSA 0.5 video labels its Oli demonstration Fully Autonomous, 1X Speed, Long Take, and Real Robot Footage
  • The official specification page supports remote operation through a high-level motion-control API
Disputed
  • COSA 0.5 autonomy labels are LimX's claims about one published demonstration, not independent proof of general autonomy
  • The video does not disclose setup, retries, interventions, operator presence, task-success criteria, or repeatability
  • Runtime, payload, speed, and configuration specifications vary by operating conditions and remain manufacturer claims
  • Pricing, delivery terms, customer deployments, uptime, safety performance, and field reliability are not established

Evidence ledger

Oli Lite, EDU, and Super have materially different official specifications.
transparency
high confidence

LimX's matrix separates height, mass, DoF, runtime, payload, end effectors, sensing, compute, and developer features; only shared fields are normalized in HumanoidRoster's common specs panel.
