Humanoid describes Alpha across wheeled and bipedal variants; this profile should not be treated as a single pure bipedal morphology.

Story

HMND 01 Alpha is Humanoid's first serious roster candidate: a UK-built platform family with both wheeled and bipedal Alpha variants. The official site presents KinetIQ as an AI framework for fleet orchestration across those platforms, and Humanoid's KinetIQ Ascend report adds company-reported reinforcement-learning manipulation metrics. That makes HMND 01 Alpha more than a single demo clip, but HumanoidRoster still treats the Ascend numbers as lab/company technical evidence rather than independently verified field performance.

The commercial signal is meaningful for a young humanoid company. Humanoid's verified X account says the company secured a binding, phased deployment with Schaeffler, while Siemens and SAP/Martur Fompak have now published partner-side proof-of-concept evidence from factory settings. Siemens reports autonomous tote handling with specific throughput, uptime, and pick-and-place figures; SAP reports early throughput and work-order gains from the Martur Fompak test. Those are stronger than partner-logo evidence, but they still do not establish fleet-scale paid deployment, sustained multi-shift operation, or independently audited autonomy.

Humanoid also announced a $152 million Series A at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation in July 2026. Its live release says Prime Movers Lab led the round, with Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures participating. The Q4 2026 Beta rollout and wheel-based-platform manufacturing schedule remain company targets rather than completed milestones.

The taxonomy question is whether wheeled and bipedal HMND 01 Alpha should eventually split. For now, one profile is cleaner: both variants sit under the same HMND 01 Alpha umbrella and the source language explicitly frames KinetIQ across wheeled and bipedal platforms. If the two variants diverge into different customers, specs, or deployment histories, HumanoidRoster should split them later.

Reality check

Humanoid has an official product site with HMND 01 Alpha wheeled and bipedal variants, substantial official media, and named industrial partner/customer context around Schaeffler, Siemens, SAP, and Martur Fompak. Siemens and SAP/Martur Fompak now provide partner-side proof-of-concept evidence and attributed factory-test metrics. The score stays below better-verified pilots because fleet scale, intervention procedures, sustained multi-shift operation, and commercial deployment outcomes remain unverified.

Confirmed
  • Humanoid's official site lists HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled and HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal platform variants
  • Humanoid describes KinetIQ as an AI framework for humanoid robot fleet orchestration across wheeled and bipedal platforms
  • Humanoid says KinetIQ Ascend is a reinforcement-learning method tested on industrial manipulation tasks, with company-reported results including +42% throughput on bearing-ring machine feeding, +85% throughput and 80% to 98% success on cluttered-tote item handover, and 78% to 99% success on bimanual tote handling after days of robot training
  • Humanoid's verified X account says the company secured a binding, phased deployment with Schaeffler to integrate humanoid robots into live production
  • Humanoid's official site shows strategic partner logos including Nvidia, Fraunhofer SIT, SAP, Siemens, and Schaeffler
  • Partner-side factory test: Siemens reported that an HMND 01 Alpha performed autonomous tote handling at its Erlangen electronics factory—picking, transporting, and placing containers—and met targets of 60 tote moves per hour, more than 8 hours of uptime, and an autonomous pick-and-place success rate above 90%
  • Partner-side automotive test: SAP reported that an HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled removed materials in a live Martur Fompak automotive manufacturing environment using SAP Extended Warehouse Management context; SAP described early findings of up to 5× improvement in throughput and work-order completion, plus improved inventory accuracy
Disputed
  • Partner-side proof-of-concept confirmation now exists from Siemens and SAP/Martur Fompak. Still unverified publicly are fleet-scale paid deployment, sustained multi-shift operation beyond Siemens' reported greater-than-8-hour test, exact intervention or teleoperation procedures, and the denominators and baselines behind SAP's "up to 5×" claim
  • KinetIQ Ascend metrics are Humanoid-reported technical and marketing results, not independent customer uptime, autonomy percentage, safety, or field-throughput validation; the 99.9%/100% reliability language should be treated as a target or line-of-sight claim, not achieved deployment proof
  • The wheeled and bipedal Alpha variants may eventually deserve separate profiles if their hardware and deployment paths diverge
